"TRANSBATON" aimed to visually represent intergenerational connections through the baton. The baton was not confined to its traditional role as a running accessory but was instead used as a symbol of communication and exchange between generations. The project primarily focused on the image of receiving the baton and running to pass it to the next generation, employing a mix of close-ups and wide shots during filming. The close-up shots allowed for the direct conveyance of emotion in the act of passing the baton, while the wide shots depicted how the exchange between generations was embodied visually. These diverse angles added depth and variety to the shoot, enhancing the portrayal of communication and understanding between generations through the act of passing the baton.

Since the baton is used in running, the products featured were primarily running-related. The model wore a Nike Gyakusou jacket from the 2010s, paired with On Running’s Cloud Ultra shoes from the 2020s. Careful attention was given to styling products from both the 2010s and 2020s, subtly reflecting the theme of generational overlap. Through this project, we were able to convey a fresh theme using the physical baton and shed light on the importance and value of interactions between past and present in modern society.
